The service concerns the executive project related to the “Consolidation works on the road structure at kilometer 21+400 of SS285” in Caccamo, in the province of Palermo. The area subject to intervention is located between kilometer 21+300 and kilometer 21+500 of the SS285 State Road in Contrada Sambuchi within the municipal territory of Caccamo.

This road section runs elevated on full-height retaining walls made of limestone masonry bound by cement mortar, reaching a height of over 4-5 meters above ground level. In recent years, this road section has experienced structural settlements, and due to intense and prolonged rainfall in the fall of 2021, the wall section in the direction of Caccamo, which was more deformed, collapsed in the first week of November.

The main project interventions can be summarized as follows:

Demolition of the collapsed portion of the structure.
Construction of the sheet pile wall in the Caccamo direction.
Placement of the embankment and road superstructure in the Caccamo direction.
Construction of the sheet pile wall in the Roccapalumba direction.
Placement of the embankment and road superstructure in the Roccapalumba direction.
